The Role of the Committee |
|||||||||||||||||||
|
The ELFA Committee meets approximately eight times a year. As well as the day-to-day administration of all things ELFA, the committee is currently focussed on raising awareness of women in fishing and is also exploring the social benefits of fishing though it's initiative to bring Casting for Recovery to the UK and Ireland. On the competition front the committee organises the qualifying competitions for both the National Loch-Style Team and the National River Team and also deals with all aspects of sourcing sponsorship and press coverage. The committee also has representatives on the International Ladies Fly Fishing committee and also for the Confederation of English Fly Fishers. Being a Committee member and knowing that you have a real input into the future of women in angling is very rewarding. If you are interested in joining the Committee or would like to know more about what's involved in being a committee member please contact ELFA Secretary, Sue Hunter |
